October 28th, 2014 I was discharged from yet another hospital, with my symptoms worsening. They just gave up looking for the problem after a couple tests. Obamacare is destroying medicine. Hospitals where one used to go real treatment are now just simple stabilization centers. They are ready, willing, and able to send you down the conveyor belt of misery to the next specialist, which still won’t find anything despite alarmingly obvious symptoms.
I fully expect to be recommended by the oft-rumored ‘death panels’ to go into a pain management service (hospice), to live my last few months in Afghani grown, poppy-seed derived blissful ignorance. This option is so much cheaper than actually fixing the problem and extending my admittedly expensive life. This is a very tough pill to swallow especially now that I’m starting to experience the first glimpses of happiness I’ve felt … ever.
